Now we come to realize that we are all connected, we are all One. One big human family. We come to the understanding that by helping one another and by sharing what we have, the abundance for all is increased. We all have more. More health, more joy, more happiness, more abundance. By sharing everything multiplies. When we treat one another with loving kindness it is being reflected back to us. What we send out comes back to us tenfold. Jesus gave us a simple rule to live by: Do onto your brother what you would have him do onto you.
"The wise man doth not accumulate.
The more he expends for others, the more doth he possess of his own.
The more he giveth to others, the more hath he for himself."
Lao-tsu
To have give all to all.|
The Bodhisattva Chenresig, also known as Avalokiteshvara or Quan Yin,
is said to be the embodiment of compassion (Karuna). According to the Lotus Sutra Avalokiteshvara is "the one who is looking with the eyes of compassion and listening deeply to the cries of the world". |
|
The most common prayer in Tibetan Buddhism is the Om Mani Padme Hum
(the jewel in the heart of the lotus), Mantra of Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara),
the Buddha of compassion.
Chenresig is also translated as "the compassionate eye that sees with the heart". |

The Om Mani Padme Hum is the most well known Mantra in Tibetan Buddhism.
The Buddhist begins to see all sentient beings as being the same as himself
in desiring to avoid suffering and achieve happiness, thus recognizing the oneness
of all humanity. That leads to a feeling of responsibility and a genuine desire
to take physical action to help humanity alleviate its suffering ~ KARUNA.
