William Rand for example as well as the Karuna Ki modality uses the Violet Breath. Know that neither the violet breath nor the Huyin method are crucial to successful attunements. You can pass on the Karuna or for that matter the Usui attunements without those modalities. However if you are familiar with the Huyin method by all means use it.
If there are multiple students to be attuned some masters choose to line them up and attune them together for efficiency reason. I personally prefer to do each attunement individually, as I consider it a stepping stone in a person's life, an event to be celebrated. This is left to your discernment on how you choose to pass on the attunements. Both ways work. Know that there is always room for creativity and you can create your own attunement process. The attunement process is a ritual. There is no limit to adding beauty to the celebration.
I only offer three different attunements in Karuna being well aware that the William Rand School offers a Karuna I Master and a Karuna II Master. It is my belief that Reiki II's benefit from the Karuna energies, however to attain the Karuna master level, the prerequisite is to acquire the Usui Master level first.
Preparation
Prepare the room you will be using by smudging, clearing with using
the Reiki symbols. Draw OM into the room, or any other symbol(s) of your choice.
Play music, light candles, burn incense. Whatever feels right to you.
Say a prayer, call in your guides and helpers, Angels and Ascended Masters. Any Being you would like to work with. Your student is sitting in a chair holding her hands in prayer position.
