Meditations ~ Mantras ~ Mudras

I am the Soul, I am the Light Divine, I am Love, I am Light, I am Fixed Design (Soul Mantra)

Rose Meditation

Breathing steadily....With mouth closed, inhale deeply.
Hold the breath for a few seconds......
Open the mouth and let the breath out slowly in little puffs.

I am the Monad, I am the Light Divine, I am Love, I am Light, I am Fixed Design (Soul Mantra)
Repeat four or five times.

Breathing steadily.....

As you breathe in, mentally say:
Be still and know I am Light, Light, Light.

Exhale, mentally saying:
I am Light, I am God.

With every breath, you are more relaxed.
Mentally say, three times: I now go within.

Breathing steadily.......
Relax your body and mind.

Mentally say, three times:
I am the Light of Love. I am Love, Love, Love.

Breathing steadily......
Breathe in the light of Love.

Now bring the light of Love from your heart, and
Release the light of Love to a point between the eyes.
Keeping the attention on the point between the eyes,
Visualise a heart inside a rose
And the light of Love beaming forth from the heart inside you.

Merge this vision inside and around you, and mentally say:
I am Love, Love, Love.
I am Peace, Peace, Peace.
Nothing can disturb me.
I am Existence.
I am Consciousness.
I am the light of Love.
Grief and anxiety can never affect me.
Fear can never enter me.
I am ever content.
I am one with all creation.
I am one with all beings.

Breathing steadily.....
Soak and absorb the light of Love into your consciousness.

Mentally say,
This light within me is a milky white ocean
Of Purity, Love, Truth and Wisdom
.

Let the ocean of light stream forth, out and around you,
Knowing this ocean of Love can never, ever, run dry.

Visualise the World as a round globe, and send the beautiful light of love
Out to heal the World, like rivulets of icing on a cake.
Send the light of Love out to heal family.
Send the goodwill to all mankind.

Know that love for all starts within you- from the heart
Which is sitting in a beautiful rose.
Surrounded by the brilliant light of Love.

Visualise yourself inside the light inside your heart.
Now visualise yourself as pure light, vibrating energy, and
Mentally say,
All my thoughts, words and deeds today, I send from my heart of love.
I am Love, Love, Love
I am God, God, God.
I am Peace, Peace, Peace.
Body and soul, I am Peace, Peace, Peace.
Body and soul, I am Love, Love, Love.

Feel the love energy pouring forth,
Radiating from you, surrounding you, and mentally say:
I am the Light and Love of my soul.
This beautiful Light of Love will always be within me,
Embracing me, radiating from me
.

As you work throughout the day, take your mind back
To the inner peace and tranquility of your silent sitting.
Remember what you experienced so that you will know

The Love within you,
The Light within you,
The God within you,
More and more.

Before you move, bow your head
To the Light, to the Love
To the God within you.

Sit quietly and know that through your comtemplation,
You can uplift humanity today,
And You can transfrom your consciousness
To reflect the Love and Grace of God,
Sincerely, in unconditional, limitless, Divine Love.

After you have finished, just be still. When you finally feel like moving, move slowly and gently.

Mantras
Reciting or chanting a mantra keeps the mind occupied that we might move beyond our thoughts into the silence of our Beingness. In Chinese Mantra chanting is known as "Chi Meng", meaning: the more you chant, the brighter it becomes.

Worship of Gayatri Mata by reciting this mantra brings every kind of fortune at the physical, mental and intellectual level Gayatri Mantra

OM
BHUR BHUVAH SAVAH
TAT SAVITUR VARENYAM
BHARGO DEVASYA DHEEMAHI
DHIYO YO NAH PRACHODAYAT
OM
SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI

One possible translation of the Gayatri Mantra:
Let us meditate on God and His Glory, the source of the physical, the astral and the heavenly spheres of existence. May that supreme divine being enlighten our intellect (so that we may realise the supreme Truth). Om peace, peace, peace.

Om	Bhur Bhuvah Savah Tat Savitur Varenyam Bhargo Devasya Dheemahi Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat Om Shanti Shanti Shanti

The practice of the Gayatri Meditation

  1. The best times for the meditation are in the morning just before sunrise and in the evening just before sunset.
  2. A clean, secluded place or room should be selected for meditation.
  3. A firm seat should be fixed with a deerskin, mat, or cloth.
  4. You may sit either in the lotus posture or the perfect posture.
  5. You should sit facing east or north.
  6. Once you sit in posture you should not move. As spiritual energy pervades the whole system while chanting the mantra, you should sit firmly. Keep the trunk, head and neck erect.
  7. Be fearless. Sit with a firm decision to realize the Truth.
  8. Light a camphor or a wick in the room and gaze at it for a few minutes. Close your eyes and visualize the flame in the brow centre through your mind's eye and repeat the Gayatri-mantra.
  9. While you repeat the mantra, meditate on the meaning of the mantra and pray for the vision of Mother Gayatri-devi.
  10. The Gayatri is a cosmic rhythm consisting of twenty-four syllables arranged as a triplet of eight syllables each.
  11. This is the most sacred Vedic mantra meditated upon during Sandhyopasama.
  12. The Gayatri-mantra is a prayer for light, for illumination.
  13. This mantra is dedicated to God as light and the sun is the symbol of such light.
  14. The Gayatri-mantra is imparted by God Himself to the rhisis or sages.
  15. The Gayatri is the mother of the Vedas (the source of Divine Wisdom).
  16. This mantra is the key to opening the door of cosmic consciousness.
  17. Sage Vishwamitra is the seer of the Gayatri-mantra.
  18. The Gayatri-mantra first appears in the Rg Veda and later in the Yajur Veda and Sama Veda and in the Upanishad. Gayatri is also called Savitur, which is the name of the solar deity. In Reality, it is God as light.
  19. This mantra has universality because it is a meditation on light through the sun, which is the same to the whole of humanity.
  20. Gayatri is the power of the Holy Trinity. This mantra confers wisdom, prosperity, purity and liberation.
  21. "O Thou Existence Absolute, Consciousness Absolute, and Bliss Absolute, Creator of the three dimensions, we meditate on Thy Transcendental light. Illumine our intellects." This is the surface meaning of the mantra.
  22. Sandyopasama or Gayatri-upasama means the meditation which would establish communion with the Supreme Light invoked by the Gayatri-mantra.
  23. Gayatri-upasama is done for attaining Universal Consciousness and awakening the intuitive powers.
One who repeats the mantra 108 times in each sitting will attain radiance soon. One who repeats the mantra 1008 times with sincerity and devotion in each sitting will attain illumination in forty days.

While you repeat the mantra, meditate on the meaning of the mantra and pray for the darshana of Mother Gayatri-devi. Gayatri destroys all delusions, energizes prana, bestows longevity, health, brilliance and illumination.

Gayatri-mantra removes all fears. It is the best cure for all ills. It destroys karma and blesses with liberation. Wherever Gayatri-mantra is chanted, devils and evil spirits are driven away by the fire of the Word of God.

Mudras
Mudras are series of body postures and hand movements enacting a narrative. (Hindu)
Sha Mudra Breathe the loving light energy (chi) through your crown and direct it down into your hara (two inches below navel). See the light expand and becoming brighter. Feel the energy and allow it to spread out throughout your whole body. Down to the toes of your feet and all the way up to the crown, and into your fingertips. See it fill every organ, and every gland. Your whold being is being filled with divine light. Focus on the Mudra by holding your hands at the level of your solar plexus (between sterun and hara).
Breathe in through your hands into the hara and exhale from the hara out through your hands. Repeat as many times as you desire. When you feel complete bring your awareness back and shake your hands three times, then your feet three times. Your vitality and chi flow will increase with regular practice.

The Sha Mudra is similar to Usui's Seishin Toitsu, which is part of the Hatsurei Ho Meditation Click here to download the Original Usui Handbook in pdf form
