Doing
After having chosen what kind of healing you are going to do and what method you are going to use it is time to remember the ethics of distance healing.Ethics
Never do a distant healing if you are upset or angry!
Remember to ask permission, again this is very important. If the person is not able to give the permission herself, you may ask on a soul level for permission. Add that the offered healing is for the highest good as it is accepted at the time, and that any excess Reiki energy may flow towards the healing of our Mother Earth.

Healing Prayer
I am here only to be truly helpful.
I am here to represent Him Who sent me.
I do not have to worry about what to say and what do do,
because He Who sent me will direct me.
I am content to be wherever He wishes,
knowing that He goes there with me.
I will be healed as I let Him teach me to heal.
Amenfrom A Course in Miracles page 28

Before the distant healing
Offer a short prayer. Drop into your heart space. You may want to light a candle and/or play soft healing music, do a smudge or cleansing, use incense, or whatever you feel is appropriate.
Invite your Reiki guides to assist you. Visualize, imagine or think of the person to receive the healing. Intention is the key to all distant healing. Offer the healing for the highest good of your person, all involved and yourself.During the distant healing
Here is the time to be alert and to pay attention to your feelings, what sensations you experience, the colours you see, visions you have, feelings that come up. You may want to share this information with your person. It may not have significance for you, but it may touch something within her. After the distant healing
Thank your person for giving you the opportunity to heal and to be healed.
Thank your Reiki guides.
